New for 2017:
We have expanded our 2017 Chasin’ for Chalfin race to additionally benefit Lee Lee Jones and Paddy Young. Lee Lee suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in December 2016 and is currently at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation. Once discharged, she will need around-the-clock medical care, as well as copious amounts of therapy, including speech, occupational, and physical. Paddy suffered a TBI on May 20, 2017. A father of 3, he will have extensive medical bills incurred from his hospitalization as well as ongoing medical costs.
Chasin’ for Chalfin was established to help our friend Jake, who was severely injured when he fell at the Blue Ridge Fall Races in Berryville, Virginia, on September 18, 2010. As a result of his extensive injuries, Jake is now paralyzed from the chest down and is facing significant long-term expenses associated with his medical needs. Our race has evolved over the years and we are now able to share the race proceeds with other individuals needing adaptive equipment, help covering costs of emergency medical needs, and organizations who support individuals with such needs.
